Locations & Services
First Responder Wellness provides specialized treatment and support for first responders and their families in California and Washington state. Across both locations, programs are designed specifically for law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, government agencies and other public safety professionals navigating operational stress, burnout, substance use, and other symptoms of post-traumatic stress injury.
Whether entering care locally or traveling for treatment, all clients receive the same focused, first responder–only approach—grounded in cultural understanding, clinical expertise, and real-world application.
Wellness should not be viewed as an added expense. It should be viewed as a cost-control and performance strategy.
California Locations
Drug & Alcohol Detox
First responders experience rates of trauma far above those of the regular population. Drug and alcohol are often the easiest way to numb the pain, leading to substance misuse and substance use disorder. Our medical detox helps first responders stabilize safely so they can begin the work of treatment.
Residential Treatment
A structured, immersive program in Newport Beach, CA, designed for first responders who need space away from the stress of the job to stabilize, reset, and begin deeper work.
Residential care includes:
-
Daily clinical programming
-
Individual therapy
-
Group therapy with other first responders
-
Resilience-building treatment
-
Medical and psychiatric support
This level of care is ideal for those experiencing significant impact from stress, trauma, or substance use and who benefit from a fully supported environment.
Clients live in home-like communities throughout Orange County that allow for support and down-time outside of treatment hours.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The California Intensive Outpatient Program provides a flexible treatment option for first responders who need structured care while maintaining certain personal or professional responsibilities. It’s appropriate as a step down from residential treatment, or for those with less critical symptoms.
IOP includes:
-
Scheduled group therapy sessions
-
Ongoing clinical support
-
Continued focus on trauma, mental health, and substance use
-
Integration of tools into daily life
